Cygnus 2 Slot
Cygnus 2 keeps the rolling marbles of the original and rebuilds its multiplier around a single destination, the leftmost column. Whatever total you have reached when a bonus symbol arrives there comes with you into Free Drops, and the win cap rises tenfold to 50,000x.
Cygnus 2 Demo
Pick one multiplier symbol and follow it: if it sticks on the bottom row, the game drops it again one column further left at the end of the cycle. Then check what the multiplier reads when a bonus symbol arrives, as that total goes into the free drops.
What changes in the gravity formula
Multipliers here are additive and earned by position. A multiplier symbol carries a value, with 3, 5 and 10 pictured on the product sheet, and when it reaches the leftmost column that value is added to the active multiplier before the payout is counted. The symbol then becomes a wild in that same column, so a successful arrival helps twice.
The frame around it is familiar: six columns, four rows growing to eight, and 4,096 up to 262,144 ways. ELK Studios released it in August 2022, with the rules setting the story in Galileo's observatory. X-iter also joins the series here.

At 94.0% the RTP sits 2.1 points below the first game while the cap is ten times higher, and like any RTP it is a long-run theoretical figure. Over time, a 23.6% hit frequency leaves 76.4 rounds in every 100 with no win.
How a round plays out, from four rows to eight
Each round starts at four rows and 4,096 ways, with wins paid left to right from the first column and no gaps allowed. Winners explode, the rest fall and slide until they settle, a row appears at the top and new marbles fill the spaces. The cycle keeps going while wins keep coming, up to eight rows and 262,144 ways.
Two symbols are heading for column one: the multiplier and the bonus. Should either finish on the bottom row in columns 2 to 6, the game removes it at the end of the avalanche cycle and drops it again one column to the left, if possible, once per cycle. Long sequences give both more chances to arrive.
Cygnus 2 features, from Rising Multiplier to Free Drops
Nearly everything below depends on reaching the leftmost column.
Avalanche
All winning symbols explode and the survivors fall vertically, then slide from side to side until they settle. A new row is added at the top before fresh symbols drop in, so each extra step in a sequence opens more ways, up to 262,144. A long sequence pays, grows the board and gives the two key symbols time to work left.
Rising Multiplier
The feature starts when a multiplier symbol reaches the leftmost column. The active multiplier rises by the value on the symbol, and the rules place that increase before the payout, so it counts straight away. All later wins in the round use the new total. No x64-style ceiling is named for this number, only the overall win cap, and in normal play it starts over before the next round.
Wild symbol
The wild substitutes for any symbol except the bonus and multiplier symbols, and the ones to watch are those created in play. A multiplier symbol that reaches the leftmost column turns into a wild, and the first column is exactly where every win must begin. One arrival raises the multiplier and also gives the next lines a wild at their starting point.
Free Drops bonus game
A bonus symbol reaching the leftmost column awards 7 free drops, and the multiplier you already have comes along. It stays active from one drop to the next, even though each free drop restarts at four rows. Another bonus symbol reaching column one adds 3 more free drops, per the official page and product sheet. Winnings are paid at the end, and the round stops early if the win cap is reached.
Multiplier Wilds
Only two X-iter modes, Multiplier Wilds and Super Bonus, switch this on. In those, multiplier symbols count as wilds wherever they sit and stay in the game until they reach the leftmost column, where they convert into regular wilds after adding their value. Ordinary multiplier symbols cannot complete a line on the way there, so this changes how a drop pays.
X-iter modes and what each one costs
Five buy-in modes run from 2x to 500x the selected bet and can only be started from the base game. The rules give all of them the same RTP figure, so a dearer mode buys a different shape of round, not a better long-run return.
| Mode | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus Hunt | 2x | One drop with more than double the chance of triggering the bonus game, with no entry guaranteed. |
| Multiplier | 10x | One drop with a guaranteed activated multiplier symbol. |
| Multiplier Wilds | 25x | One drop where multiplier symbols also act as wilds until they reach the leftmost column. |
| Bonus | 100x | One game round with guaranteed entry to the Free Drops bonus game. |
| Super Bonus | 500x | One game round with guaranteed entry to the Super Bonus game, where multiplier symbols are also wild. |
X-iter is not available in every market, so the menu may not appear where you play.
Reading the 50,000x cap and 94.0% RTP
The 50,000x ceiling is the biggest number in the first three Cygnus games and the least useful one for planning a session. It works as a cap: the round ends the moment it is reached, and the €5,000,000 max exposure on the sheet is 50,000 times the €100 maximum bet.
How the multiplier builds tells you more. The total only grows when symbols reach one specific column, so plenty of rounds finish with it unmoved, and the largest outcomes lean on a bonus entered with a healthy total. Stakes start at €0.20.

Cygnus 2 against the rest of the series
Compared with the original Cygnus, the multiplier adds instead of doubling and activates at the left column instead of the bottom row. Free drops begin on four rows where the first game opened all eight, and the RTP falls from 96.1% to 94.0%. Cygnus 3 sends the bonus through a wheel spin, cutting the cap to 10,000x while adding fixed jackpots.
Cygnus 2 pros and cons
What works
- The multiplier total carries from the base game into Free Drops
- Cap of 50,000x, ten times that of the original Cygnus
- Arriving multiplier symbols turn into wilds in the column where every win begins
- Five X-iter modes, from a 2x Bonus Hunt to a 500x Super Bonus
- Stranded multiplier and bonus symbols get moved one column left
What to watch
- 94.0% RTP, down from 96.1% in the first game
- Free drops restart at four rows, so each one has to rebuild the board
- Multiplier symbols do nothing until they reach one column
- 8 of 10 volatility and a 23.6% hit frequency mean plenty of empty rounds
Who should try Cygnus 2
Goal-trackers should get the most from this one, since nearly every good outcome involves getting something to column one, provided they can live with a top-heavy return at 94.0%. For the purer doubling ladder and a higher RTP, Cygnus is the simpler game.
Cygnus 2 questions answered
What RTP does Cygnus 2 have?
94.0%, per both sheets. That is a theoretical return over a very long run, and X-iter modes carry the same figure.
How big can a Cygnus 2 win get?
Total win in a round is capped at 50,000x the placed bet, and the round ends immediately if that is reached. Treat it as a limit on the game, not a likely result.
Can I try Cygnus 2 without paying?
Yes. A free play-money demo sits on this page, so you can follow the multiplier symbols and see how the column-one mechanic feels.
What triggers the Free Drops in Cygnus 2?
A bonus symbol has to reach the leftmost column, which awards 7 free drops and brings the current multiplier along. Further bonus symbols reaching that column add more free drops.
Does the multiplier in Cygnus 2 reset?
In normal play it resets before the next game round. In the bonus it persists between all free drops, even though the rows go back to four each time.
