Nitropolis 2 in short: same grid, one extra reel
One row of slots above the grid accounts for most of what is new. ELK released Nitropolis 2 in May 2021, moving the story on to Sergeant Nitro Wolf, who has already locked up the Rogue Rats and is coming for the other clans. Underneath, Nitro Reels of size 4 to 12 and winning respins carry over, so anyone who knows the first game can read this board straight away.
The difference is that a feature can now sit above a column and act on any Nitro Reel landing below it, which gives an otherwise ordinary spin something extra to look at. Stakes stay at €0.20 to €100 and the cap stays at 10,000x, so the Booster changes how rounds develop rather than the headline limits.

A 20.0% hit frequency works out at one paying spin in five over the long run, and volatility rated 8 of 10 makes dry stretches normal. The 95.0% RTP is a long-run theoretical figure, 1.1 points below the original's 96.1%.
How a spin works
Every spin starts from 4,096 ways on six reels of four rows, with the Booster able to add features from above. Nitro Reels still occupy two positions each, so a reel holding two of them at size 12 counts for 24 symbols.
That sum explains the headline: 24 symbols on each of six reels, multiplied together, is exactly 191,102,976 ways. It needs twelve size-12 Nitro Reels, twelve being the maximum the game allows. The top X-iter mode starts its bonus with twelve, although the rules do not promise they arrive at full size.

The Booster holds 8 features, and the colour of each decides how much of the board it can reach.
Nitro Reels and winning respins
The core carries over from the first game. Nitro Reels cover two positions and hold 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 payout symbols, and all symbols and Nitro Reels in a win respin individually for as long as new wins appear. What changes is what can happen on landing, since a Booster slot can turn the contents to wilds, match them to a neighbouring reel or raise the count.
Green Nitro Boosters
Nitro Wild, Nitro Match and Nitro Upgrade work column by column. Nitro Reels landing under Nitro Wild contain wilds, those under Nitro Match take a symbol from the reel to their left, and those under Nitro Upgrade gain extra symbols. All three depend on a Nitro Reel landing in that column, so a green slot above an empty column has nothing to act on. Nitro Match is the one to note, since copying the reel to the left is how it sets up a connection.
Gold Nitro Boosters
All Wild, All Match and All Premium cover every column. All Match pairs each landing Nitro Reel with a symbol on the reel to its left, and All Premium fills landing Nitro Reels with high-value symbols. All Wild goes further by also reaching sticky Nitro Reels, which then contain wilds exclusively. Its effect therefore grows with the number of reels locked during free spins, making it the strongest-looking gold result when a bonus already has several in place.
Respin and Both Ways
These two need no Nitro Reel at all. Respin locks every Nitro Reel and bonus symbol in place, then sends the Booster and all the reels round again, which makes it the natural route from two bonus symbols to a third. Both Ways pays wins from left to right and from right to left, so clusters on the right-hand reels no longer need to connect from reel one.
Free spins with locked Nitro Reels
Three or more bonus symbols trigger the free spins, and the Booster can supply bonus symbols too. All Nitro Reels lock for the remaining spins, and the bonus can retrigger. The rules text does not print a full award table: the X-iter description promises at least 15 free spins from four bonus symbols, and the product sheet's artwork shows a counter of 10. Neither the rules nor the sheet mentions the first game's scatter-paying symbol, so check the paytable if that matters to you.
X-iter modes and what they cost
Five modes, priced as multiples of the selected bet, can only be activated in the base game.

Reading the 95.0% RTP and 10,000x cap
At the €100 top stake the 10,000x cap comes to €1,000,000, the maximum exposure on the data sheet, and at €1 it comes to €10,000. That is a stop, and the game gives no reason to expect it. A board with millions of ways does not guarantee a large result either, because Nitro Reels only pay when their symbol connects.
The 95.0% RTP describes very long-run play and not a session. The rules give X-iter its own RTP line, filled in when the game loads, so read that in-game before assuming paid modes return the same as ordinary spins. Paid modes also concentrate risk: at €1, the 500x mode costs as much as 500 base spins.
How Nitropolis 2 compares with its neighbours
Against the original Nitropolis, this game adds the Booster and X-iter, more than doubles the maximum ways and gives up 1.1 points of RTP. Nitropolis 3 then changes direction: avalanches replace respins, rows expand, Nitro features land on the grid instead of in a top reel, and the cap rises to 50,000x.
