Pirots 2 Slot
Pirots 2 keeps the collecting birds and gives them more to deal with: eggs that scatter them, meteors that widen the grid and popcorn that lets them cross gaps. It is also where the payout ladder grew to 7 levels and the volatility rating rose to 8 out of 10.
Pirots 2 Demo
Check which bird moves first, because birds act in descending order of amber payout and an upgrade can change the running order. Then look out for three or more birds ending up side by side, since that starts a fight that clears amber and grabs certain feature symbols.
Pirots 2 in short: same birds, wider board
Rounds begin at 6×6 instead of the original's 5×5, with the same 8×8 limit on growth, so the birds have more to work with from the first drop. The gems have become four colours of amber, and the payout ladder now runs to level 7. The Pirots page explains CollectR in full for anyone new to it.
ELK released this one in November 2023 and set it in Dino World, where the birds arrive looking for rum and find something with teeth. The awards record needs careful wording: ELK lists it as Game of the Year 2024, dated May 2024 on its timeline, and coverage of the CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards names the category Slot of the Year.

Volatility of 8 out of 10 is a step up from the first game and the 25.4% hit frequency is slightly lower, so expect more drops that return nothing. RTP stands at a theoretical 94.0% over the long run, shared by the X-iter modes.
How a round runs now
Movement order is the new wrinkle: birds go in descending order of current amber payout, so the best-paying colour acts first.
The meter is stricter than before, counting only amber and wilds. A full meter adds one pending feature symbol release instead of paying out at once, and up to three can stack. Each release converts 3 amber symbols into random feature symbols, landing just before an egg hatches or a meteor strikes, with the first free drop, or when the birds run out of moves.
Features that reshape the board
Eight feature symbols are in the mix, and several of them act on where the birds stand instead of what the amber pays.
Popcorn
A collected popcorn symbol fills empty grid spaces with popcorn, and each bird can then cross those spaces one time to reach symbols it was cut off from. Routes decide everything in this game, so a bird stranded by squares already collected gets a second chance to earn. Later games keep the idea under other names, and here it has its own X-iter mode, Popcorn Fiesta.
Egg and dinosaur
An egg collected by a bird hatches a dinosaur at the end of the round, once collecting has stopped. The birds are scared off and redrop in new places, which can put them next to amber they could not reach before. Any pending feature symbol release fires just before the hatch. If an egg and a red button have both been collected, the egg acts first.
Red button and meteor strike
The red button calls down a meteor when the birds have stopped. It removes the birds and nearby symbols other than feature symbols, then expands the grid by one row and one column, from 6×6 to 7×7 and from 7×7 to 8×8. Fresh symbols and birds drop in afterwards. Two strikes are therefore enough to reach maximum size for the rest of that round.
Switcheroo and bird fights
Adjacent birds may swap places when stuck, though only if the swap unlocks new clusters. Three or more birds side by side start a fight instead, which rolls across a random area of the grid. Amber in its path is removed, while bonus symbols, coins, eggs and red buttons are collected automatically. A redrop and refill follow, so a fight can hand over a bonus symbol no bird could have walked to.
Coins and upgrades
Coins carry values of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 500 or 1,000 times the active bet level, and the MAX WIN coin tops a round up to the cap. The rules also describe a version without that coin, so it may not appear everywhere. An upgrade lifts the collecting bird's colour by 1, 2 or 3 steps, and upgrade all lifts the four colours together. Both stop at level 7.
Bonus game with free drops
Collecting three bonus symbols during a round awards 5 free drops on the current grid size. Grid size, meter progress, payout levels and collected bonus symbols all persist, and any pending release lands with the first free drop. Another three bonus symbols add 5 more. Because the count survives between drops, a retrigger can build across the whole feature and does not depend on one lucky drop.
The Pirots 2 X-iter menu
Prices start at 3x and top out at 500x the bet. Modes are bought from the base game only, and the rules give them the same theoretical RTP as standard play.
| Mode | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus Hunt | 3x | One drop with more than quadruple the bonus chance according to the in-game rules, although ELK's product sheet says more than three times. |
| Popcorn Fiesta | 10x | A single drop that starts with popcorn already active. |
| Maximum Grid Size | 25x | A drop that opens at the full 8×8 size. |
| Bonus | 100x | Guaranteed entry to the bonus game with free drops. |
| Super Bonus | 500x | Guaranteed super bonus entry, all free drops at maximum grid size and upgrades that lift all amber. |
Not every market offers X-iter.

Reading the volatility and RTP figures
The same 94.0% RTP and 10,000x cap as the first game, with volatility one point higher, imply a harsher spread: a similar long-run return arrives through fewer and larger results. A 25.4% hit frequency still means about a quarter of rounds pay something, though many of those will be small.
The cap limits a single round, and reaching it stops play on the spot. Treat it as a ceiling, never a target. Bets run from €0.20 to €100.

Pirots 2 against the rest of the series
Compared with the original, this game brings seven payout levels, a stacking meter, popcorn and bird fights. Pirots 3 keeps that framework and the same 8 out of 10 rating, swaps popcorn for peanuts and adds a bandit and a coin game, so choosing between them mostly comes down to how much extra machinery you want. Pirots 4 returns to this 6×6 start at a lower rating of 7.
Pirots 2 pros and cons
What works
- Seven payout levels give upgrades far more room than the first game.
- Popcorn and redrops keep stranded birds in play.
- Meteors grow the grid in clear steps, 6×6 to 7×7 to 8×8.
- Collected bonus symbols stay counted between free drops, which helps retriggers.
What to watch
- An 8 out of 10 rating means more empty drops and sharper swings.
- Fights remove amber without paying for it, which can cost a bird its route.
- The rules describe no natural route into the super bonus, only the X-iter mode.
Is this the right CollectR game for you?
Pirots 2 suits players who already like the collecting loop and want more ways for a stalled round to restart, and who can live with the swings of an 8 out of 10 rating. Skip it if that rating feels too steep, as the original and Pirots 4 both sit a point lower.
